Security and data

Your data, and who can see it.

OpsDeck decides who sees what by role. Pay, PF numbers and ESI numbers stay hidden from roles that don’t need them, and sensitive actions need permission. Run it on OpsDeck Cloud, in your own cloud account or on your own server.

Hosting and backup details for your setup come in writing before you sign.

Access

Who can see and change what.

In most businesses, pay and ID numbers sit in a sheet that anyone can forward. In OpsDeck, each role sees and does only what its work needs.

Access follows the role, not whoever has the file.

  • Roles are set up to match your structure. Gate operators, time office clerks, plant HR and the group office each see and do only what their role needs.

  • PF numbers, ESI numbers and pay are hidden from roles that don’t need them. A supervisor can run a shift without seeing what people earn.

  • Changing attendance and running a biometric device from the software sit behind role permissions. They are not open to anyone with a login.

  • When someone fixes a missed punch by hand, OpsDeck keeps a record of who changed it.

  • A file of employee data goes into review first. Someone approves or rejects it. The history shows what was loaded, by whom, and whether it was accepted.

  • New users are invited by email, so nobody sends passwords over WhatsApp. Screens sign out after a period of no use, which matters on shared gate machines.
